Baltic amber jewelry
Amber - Gold of the North. Most of our amber is from Estonia and some from Denmark. Amber is not a rock, but petrified resin, which means it is still alive. Some of it may be 20-30 million years old (remember Jurassic Park). It is said that elderly people in the Scandinavian countries carry a piece of amber in their pockets because they believe it eases their arthritis pain. However, amber is so timeless and beautiful that it fits any type of skin and hair color. Berea Center for the Arts has a nice selection of amber.
